SUMMARY:Annual Governor's Pheasant Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, hunters travel from across the country to participate in the annual pheasant hunt.  We have welcomed hunters from as far as New York and Texas as well as cadets from West Point Academy.  We featured a European Hunt for the first time in 2008 and were very pleased with its success.\n\n \n\n \n\nEvents begin on Friday with an open shoot at the Beatrice Gun Club followed by a reception Friday night at Valentino's Restaurant.  After an early breakfast at Valentino's on Saturday\, the teams are dispursed to area farms to hunt.  Pheasants are counted\, measured\, and photographed.  A celebratory banquet is held Saturday evening which includes an awards presentation\, a silent auction\, and entertaining speakers.
