DESCRIPTION:Homestead National Monument of America announced a line-up of talented artists for this year's Art in the Park Week\, July 29- August 4.\n\n\n\nThroughout the week\, artists will present at the Education Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\n\n\n\nArt media will include china painting\, watercolor painting\, drawing\, rag rug braiding\, quilting\, sock and loom weaving\, and Celtic rush weaving.\n\n\n\nVisitors will be able to watch the artists as they do their craft in teh Education Center's multi-purpose room and ask questions and learn about their craft and background.\n\n\n\nAlso on August 4\, members of Teammates from Beatrice will partner with the monument to bring high school youth with their mentors to paint and decorate chairs at the Education Center.\n\n\n\nHomestead National Monument of America is located four miles west of Beatrice. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m. seven days a week.
