DESCRIPTION:Homestead National Monument of America invites the public to lend a hand in the collection of native plant seeds. \n\n\n\nArrive at the Education Center at 9:30 am on Saturday\, October 1.\n\n\n\nSeeds collected from the prairie will be used for future tallgrass prairie restoration and management projects at the Monument. \n\n\n\nParticipants are encouraged to wear long pants and closed toe shoes. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nHomestead National Monument of America is located four miles west of Beatrice. Current hours of operation are 8:30 am - 5 pm M-F and 9 am - 5 pm on weekends.
