DESCRIPTION:The Fairbury Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the upcoming spring Home and Garden Show to be held Saturday\, March 31st\, 2012. This will be the sixth year for this continuing successful event. It will be held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Fairbury and it will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. \n\n \n\nThe committee is excited to be celebrating six years of this well attended show and will be adding many new activities for the day. There will be something for everyone in attendance. "We are very excited about the wide array of booths that will be set up on this day\, as well as new entertainment\," said Lana Likens\,      co-chair of the event. "For example\, at lunch-time we will have a Chuck Roll Cutting/Cooking Demonstration by the University of Nebraska Extension." There will also be L@R Chainsaw Carving taking place throughout the day. \n\n \n\nThe Bird House Decorating Competition/Auction was such a success this event will be held again with a portion of the proceeds going to the Camp Jefferson Dining Hall project. This event is open to the public and further details can be obtained from the chamber.\n\n \n\nOnce again the Kiwanis service club will be serving food throughout the day in the 4-H Building. Please remember that all money raised by the Kiwanis Organization goes back into youth-oriented programs in the community.  As in previous years\, admission is free to the show and there will be door prizes offered throughout the day. \n\n \n\nThere are still booth spaces available\, booth sizes are 10'x10' and must be staffed. The chamber provides ID sign\, backdrop\, table covering\, skirting and two folding chairs.
