Book Discussion

The Beatrice Public Library Book Discussion is featuring the One Book One Nebraska 2021 book selection, “Prairie Forge: The Extraordinary Story of the Nebraska Scrap Metal Drive of World War II” by James J. Kimble. The program will be held in the lower level of the Beatrice Public Library. Discussion questions have been provided by the author to inspire the discussion of the state wide plan urging citizen to donate and collect scrap metal for the war effort. A plan developed by Henry Doorly and used as a model for a national scrap drive. Copies of the book are available for loan from the Library.
