WWI, The Art, Music, and Theatre

The Humanities Dept. at SCC Beatrice campus will be sponsoring a lecture at the Beatrice Public Library on Sunday, Nov. 10th from 2:30 - 3:30pm Speakers Dr. Ken Hoppmann, Dr. Jon Gruett, and Nancy Hagler-Vujovic will show how the Great War influenced the fine arts of the period. Topics will include Bertold Brecht, Kurt Weill, William Wilder, Benjamin Britten, German Expressionism, the Vienna Secessionists and more. The lecture is free and open to the public and includes a look at the art, theatre, and music of WWI
