Homestead National Monument of America will be 75 years old on Saturday, March 19. Homestead invites the public to celebrate with us, beginning with ranger-guided prairie hikes that will start at the Education Center at both 10 and 11 a.m. At 12:30 p.m. visitors can enjoy birthday cake shaped like the iconic Palmer-Epard Cabin.

Former Nebraska Senator David Landis will speak at 2 p.m. about Senator George Norris, who was the Father of Homestead National Monument and spearheaded the movement to make Daniel Freeman's homestead a National Park Service site.
Please, dress accordingly, as the morning programs will be held outdoors, weather permitting. All programs and refreshments are free of charge.
