Van's BBQ benefit to be held Sunday

A Van's BBQ Chicken/Ribs benefit for CCFA (Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America) is planned for Thursday, May 3, starting at 5 p.m. at The Rail, 212 Court St., Beatrice. Meals will be available for $8 for dine-in or carryout.

Hosting the event is 14-year-old, Jonathon Schleufer, who has both diseases. All proceeds for the benefit stay in the local CCFA Chapter. Donations go towards seminars, education and research to find a cure for these diseases.
